Wallflower Poster
Poster design for the Wallflower Poster show.
I began by centering my attention on the strain name [sticky grapes] and then crafted a short poem inspired by it. Implementing a style reminiscent of Concrete poetry, I worked this poem into the poster. To reinforce the concept, I selected found imagery from my collection that resonates with the poem. These images are juxtaposed with a surreal illustration, collectively embodying the theme of hallucinations or visions associated with heightened experiences. Specifically, the imagery leans towards surreal depictions of flight, symbolizing the altered state of mind.
I was one of 35 talented artists asked to participate in this show. 100% of proceeds were donated to The Last Prisoner Project and NAMI St. Louis.
